A sound engineer and designer with over 25 years of experience, Jason has worked with artists from Prince to Kanye West, Creed to Cirque du Soleil, John Travolta, Diana Ross and many more.
His work has taken him to over 30 countries, in places like Macau, Russia, Holland, Japan, Germany, Spain and all over the United States from Las Vegas to Chicago, New York to Los Angeles.
Jason started his career on a large scale from the start when he worked as sound design assistant and later the show mixer at “EFX” in Las Vegas. The sound design of that show included a 64 channel surround system at a time (1994) when most live shows were stereo.
His enthusiasm and fresh approach to each project, combined with a wealth of experience and top professionalism is what makes Jason a valuable contributor to any project.
R.U.N. is the first live action stunt show by Cirque du Soleil. Jason worked with Jonathan Deans and composer Tyler Bates to create a unique cinematic soundtrack that goes way beyond the capabilities of modern cinema systems.
PY1 is the first entertainment project by Lune Rouge, the new company formed by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte. Jason worked with Jonathan Deans and composer John Laraio on the immersive sound design in this one of a kind Pyramid shaped venue that hosts a 45 minute multimedia experience.
Jason was the recording engineer for the track “Breathe In, Breathe Out” where he worked with Kanye and Ludacris. The album was nominated for Best Album and went on to win a Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2005, and has since gone over triple platinum in record sales.
Jason worked with Falcon’s Treehouse and Jonathan Deans on the immersive sound design for this groundbreaking experience in Macau. The show went on to win the 2010 THEA for Outstanding Achievement.
Herbie and Jason worked together to develop the real time immersive elements and movements that were played by Herbie and controlled by Jason at FOH during this one time unique performance.
The Bolshoi Theater complex undertook a six year renovation that was finished in 2011. Part of the renovation included a modern sound system. Jason designed and programmed a surround sound system for the main theater, along with a series of preset immersive content that can be utilized by the Bolshoi.
